Olio Studio founder and resident hair expert Ruth takes a refreshing, problem solving approach to providing hair services, delivering unique appointment experiences tailored to every client. Taking into account a wide range of factors including hair type and colour history Ruth works with each client to design your dream hair, enhancing your best features, hiding the ones you don't love and keeping your hair in optimal condition.


MAKING A BOOKING

Our service menu looks a little different, with color services divided into experience options. Each experience offers a choice of colour services as well as a blow dry & style and any additional services like treatments/ toners that are required to maintain the integrity of your hair and deliver the desired result.
This means our prices are all inclusive and you won't need to keep track of anything you are offered during your appointment.
The experiences are designed to achieve a specific goal. Whether simply touching up/maintaining your roots so no-one sees your natural colour to enhancing your look by adding a little extra texture or depth and even going all the way from blonde to brunette and back again.
An easy guide is the amount of time left between appointments. This helps to determine the amount of time and product we will need to allow for and gives you a good idea which experience to book.

COLOUR

OWAY (Organic Way) is a premium brand of colour designed by and produced on a biodynamic farm in the hills of Italy. With a focus on green chemistry and the environment this colour is beautiful to use, gentle on the skin and is ammonia free.
REDKEN Shades Eq - Redkens hero product, shades eq is an acidic color that acts like a conditioner. Perfect for extra longevity and shine in toners.

HOME HAIRCARE

BOTANIQ - Passionate about supporting local and love clean, natural and effective products? Then Botaniq is for you, created by and Auckland hair dresser with a degree in formulation chemistry her products hit home every time!

REDKEN - Sometimes chemical damage needs a tougher solution and Redken fills in our "prescription" range. Confidently fixing the problems it claims to on the bottle this range is ideal to take you one step closer to your dream hair.

GHD - What's better than fixing damaged hair? Not doing the damage in the first place! Ruth is a committed GHD fan. GHD is next to none with their broadened range of tools.
